Volkswagen India has launched the Virtus Anniversary Edition at an introductory price of Rs 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition celebrates nearly four years of the Virtus in India and will be limited to just 150 units. Moreover, it carries the same price as the GT Plus Sport variant while offering additional features.
The Anniversary Edition is based on the top-spec GT Plus Sport trim. As a result, it retains the sedan’s sporty styling while adding exclusive cosmetic elements and convenience features.
Exterior Gets Exclusive Styling Updates

The Virtus Anniversary Edition comes finished in a new Avocado Pearl exterior shade, which Volkswagen has reserved exclusively for this limited-run model. Furthermore, it features a contrasting black roof, black alloy wheels with red brake calipers and a black boot-lid spoiler.
The sedan also retains the GT Plus Sport’s gloss-black front bumper trim, smoked headlamp and tail-lamp housings and sporty exterior styling. Consequently, the Anniversary Edition offers a more distinctive appearance than the standard Virtus.
Cabin Adds More Features

Inside, the Virtus Anniversary Edition continues with the all-black interior theme found in the GT Plus Sport. Gloss-black dashboard inserts and leatherette upholstery further enhance the premium feel of the cabin.
Additionally, Volkswagen has equipped the special edition with official accessories such as puddle lamps, a 360-degree camera system and front parking sensors. Other features include ventilated front seats, a powered sunroof, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, red ambient lighting, paddle shifters and an 8-speaker audio system.
Safety Features Remain Comprehensive
Volkswagen has carried over the complete safety package from the GT Plus Sport variant. Therefore, the Anniversary Edition offers six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist and ABS with EBD as standard.
These features continue to make the Virtus one of the safer sedans in its segment while maintaining its premium positioning.
1.5 TSI Engine Continues Unchanged
Powering the Virtus Anniversary Edition is the familiar 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine. It produces 150 HP and 250 NM while pairing exclusively with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Volkswagen claims a fuel efficiency of 19.62 KMPL for this powertrain. Meanwhile, the regular Virtus continues to offer the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission options.
Prices In India
Volkswagen has priced the Virtus Anniversary Edition at Rs 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite adding exclusive features and accessories, the special edition costs the same as the GT Plus Sport variant. However, Volkswagen will produce only 150 units for the Indian market.
| Variant | Ex-Showroom Price |
|---|---|
| Volkswagen Virtus Anniversary Edition | Rs 19.20 Lakh |
Conclusion

The Volkswagen Virtus Anniversary Edition offers buyers a more exclusive version of the brand’s premium sedan without increasing the price. Besides the new Avocado Pearl paint, the limited edition also adds practical features such as a 360-degree camera and front parking sensors. With only 150 units available, the Anniversary Edition is likely to appeal to buyers looking for a more distinctive Virtus.
