VinFast has begun showcasing its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs at select malls across India. This public display precedes bookings due in late June. These models first appeared at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025. Customers can check the cars out at the following malls:

Model Rollout & Bookings

Bookings for both crossovers are slated to start in late June 2025. The VF 7 is positioned as the flagship entry model. The VF 6 will follow shortly afterward. Both are right-hand drive versions built to meet Indian requirements and norms.
Technical Specifications

The VF 6 is a front-wheel-drive crossover with a 59.6 KWH battery powering a single electric motor that delivers up to 201 BHP and 310 NM of torque. It accelerates from 0–100 KM/H in around 8.9 seconds, riding on a 2730 MM wheelbase. The cars has a length of 4,241 MM, width of 1,834 MM and a height of 1,580 MM, with a WLTP-certified range of approximately 381–399 KM depending on trim.

The VF 7 is a crossover offered in FWD and AWD configurations. Its FWD Eco trim uses the same 59.6 KWH battery to produce 201 BHP and 310 NM of torque. The AWD Plus variant steps up to a 75.3 KWH battery, delivers 354 BHP and 500 NM of torque, and accelerates from 0–100 KM/H in about 5.8 seconds. Dimensions are 4,545 MM in length, 1,890 MM in width, 1,636 MM in height, and a 2,840 MM wheelbase. Claimed WLTP range figures are 450 KM for the Eco trim and around 431–450 KM for the AWD version .
Local Manufacturing & Capacity

VinFast set up a CKD assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, covering 400 acres. The facility starts with a 50,000‑unit annual capacity, but expansion to 150,000 units is planned . The initial capital outlay was Rs 4,000 crore (~US $500 million) and the total planned investment is up to US $2 billion. The plant is expected to be online this month.
