VinFast is preparing to launch the Limo Green electric MPV in India in February 2026. It will mark the Vietnamese brand’s next step in its expansion strategy for the Indian market. The model will join the company’s portfolio that includes the VF6 and VF7. The Limo Green is positioned as a family focused people mover and will target buyers seeking a practical, all electric alternative to petrol and diesel MPVs. It will compete with the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the BYD eMax 7. The carmaker has already built a 26-dealer network and committed to launching one new model every six months. Over time, VinFast aims to localise production at its Tamil Nadu facility, which has an initial annual capacity of 50,000 units (scalable to higher volumes) and is part of the company’s up to $2 billion India investment plan

Exterior Design

The VinFast Limo Green adopts a compact yet upright MPV silhouette that prioritises cabin space. The front fascia features LED headlamps and a clean, closed grille, typical of electric vehicles. Its boxy profile, short overhangs, and sliding doors enhance practicality, making entry and exit easier. The India-spec version is expected to mirror the global model’s dimensions, with a 4,740 MM length, 1,872 MM width, 1,728 MM height, 2,840 MM wheelbase and 170 MM of Ground clearance. With proportions similar to midsize MPVs like the Carens, the Limo Green slots neatly into the family-focused people-mover category. VinFast may offer the MPV in four colours for India: Limo Silver, Limo Red, Limo Yellow, and Limo Black.

Interior Layout

VinFast designs the Limo Green’s cabin for families and fleet operators by offering a flexible 2+3+2 layout. Thanks to its EV-dedicated architecture, the MPV benefits from a flat floor, which improves legroom in all three rows. The minimalist dashboard includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a digital cluster, and multiple USB charging ports. Standard equipment may include ventilated seats, automatic climate control, D-cut steering wheel, and rear parking sensors with a camera. The MPV enhances safety with multiple airbags, ESC, traction control, hill-start assist, roll-over mitigation, and ABS with EBD. Higher trims may offer advanced driver assistance features, consistent with VinFast’s global model strategy.

Powertrain & Final Thoughts

While full India-spec technical details are pending, the global version of the Limo Green provides a clear picture of what to expect. The MPV uses a front-mounted electric motor producing 204 HP and 280 NM. It pairs with a 60.13 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of up to 450 KM (NEDC). It can charge from 10% to 70% in 30 minutes using an 80 kW DC fast charger, with an 11 kW AC charger available for home or workplace setups. The MPV also offers Eco, Comfort, and Sport drive modes to suit different driving conditions.

Pricing will play a major role in its acceptance, especially since the company is setting up manufacturing in India to improve long term cost competitiveness. If positioned well, the Limo Green could attract private buyers as well as fleet operators looking for efficient electric mobility options.
