At the Basalt unveiling, new versions of the C3 and C3 Aircross were also shown. The C3 hatchback has now been finally launched with new features, a revised price and an automatic transmission option for the turbo petrol variant, but the cost is yet to be revealed.
Exterior
It does not get any changes to the styling but it now comes equipped with LED projector headlights, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) with integrated turn indicators and a rear windshield wiper with washer. There are now Citroën badges where the indicators used to be on the front fender.
Interior
The dashboard design remains familiar but now features a seven-inch fully digital driver’s display borrowed from the C3 Aircross, an automatic A/C and the power window switches have now been relocated to the door pads from the centre console.
Features
It continues to offer features like a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, steering mounted controls, remote locking/unlocking and a height adjustable driver’s seat.
All these improvements are more than welcome, but items like rear headrests, keyless entry, push button start and cruise control are still missing.
Safety
It is equipped with electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as well as a rear parking camera with sensors, and higher variants now come with six-airbags.
Drivetrain
Available with two engine options, first being a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit that delivers 82 HP, 115 N-m of Torque and is paired to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The second is the 1.2-litre turbo petrol motor producing 110 HP, 190(MT)/205(AT) N-m of torque and is mated with a six-speed transmision, either manual or automatic.
