The all new fourth generation Dzire was recently spotted lacking any sort of disguise, giving us nearly every detail regarding the upcoming compact sedan’s exterior. The images confirm what spy shots of the concealed model had hinted at, the exterior design is well differentiated from the recently launched Swift.
Design
Unlike its predecessors, the newest model will have much more design changes to differentiate it from the Swift with which it shares it platform. It will feature an all new nose, a horizontal slat grille, slim headlights and a sportier looking front bumper.
The new alloy wheels will further set the hatchback apart from the sedan, as will the new large wraparound LED tail lights and ofcourse the boot, which seems to be as large as its predecessor, but with more angular creases.
Features
Another major difference is the presence of a sunroof. However, the interior will share a lot of pieces, though the cabin is expected to be finished in lighter colours to make it feel airier. The features list on top spec variant is expected to include a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, an automatic climate control system and an analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID.
Powertrain
It will use the same 1.2 litre three cylinder Z12E engine that produces 82 HP, 112 N-m of torque on petrol and 70 HP, 102 N-m when on CNG. Petrol variants will get five speed manual and AMT options, while CNG versions will only have the former.
CNG
Most likely, the prices for the CNG will be announced after the petrol model, and to arrive at Arena showrooms sometime around Diwali and might cost a premium over the outgoing model as expected. More details to be revealed shortly.
