Toyota Sells Record Number Of Units In June 2024

Recently, the sales figures for Toyota Kirloskar Motor from January 2024 to June 2024 were published.

A Healthy Growth

After comparing H1 of 2023 and 2024, the growth is quite evident with a rise of a staggering 47% over the 2 years. From January 2023 to June 2023, Toyota recorded 1,02,371 in domestic sales. This number rocketed up to 1,50,250 in the first quarter of 2024.

The sales figures for June seemed to be even more impressive. 27,474 units suggest that Toyota recorded the highest monthly sales in June. Compared to May 2024, this is an 8.1% increase and upon comparison with June 2023, there is a 41% boost in sales.

Reasons For This Growth

People doubted the Maruti Suzuki and Toyota venture at first. Very few people expected this venture to work out since Toyota decided to sell rebadged Maruti Suzuki cars with minor modifications. However, the sales figures report that this venture has been a success as far as unit sales are concerned. The sales strategies and after-sales experience were vital in recording such a great performance, according to Sabari Manohar, Vice President of, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor. He also mentioned that the Urban Cruiser Taisor exceeded the expectations that Toyota Kirloskar Motor had set.

The shift in customer preferences towards SUVs and MPVs helped boost Toyota’s sales. People seem to appreciate the warranty package that Toyota offer. Not to mention, the Toyota Fortuner and the Toyota Innova Crysta sell in consistent figures as always.
