Toyota Kirloskar Motor demonstrated a robust performance in October 2025 by recording a significant surge in overall sales volume across its diverse portfolio. The total sales reached 40,257 units which marks a substantial increase of 43.07% compared to the 28,138 units sold in October 2024. This positive momentum is also visible on a month-on-month basis as sales grew by 48.61% from the 27,089 units recorded in September 2025. The most notable headline from the October 2025 sales data is the Urban Cruiser Hyryder outselling the legendary Innova for the first time. The Hyryder registered sales of 11,555 units which represents a massive year-on-year growth of 112.11% compared to the 5,449 units sold in the same month last year. This mid-size SUV also saw a strong month-on-month rise of 51.86% from September.

In comparison, the combined figures for Crysta and Hycross stood at 11,089 units. While the Innova continues to perform well with a respectable 25.44% yearly growth and a 13.37% monthly increase, it has now been surpassed in volume by the Hyryder. The Hyryder’s lower price compared to the Hycross for the hybrid powertrain could be a major reason for its strong growth.

Glanza & Taisor Add Significant Volume

Toyota’s smaller cars have also played a crucial role in driving the total volume for the month. The Glanza recorded sales of 6,162 units in October 2025. This is a solid improvement of 44.18% over the 4,273 units sold in October 2024 and an even more impressive 86.73% jump from the previous month.

Following closely is the Urban Cruiser Taisor which contributed 4,561 units to the tally. The Taisor has shown consistent demand with a 47.55% increase year-on-year and a near doubling of sales from September with a 98.56% month-on-month growth. These two models combined account for over a quarter of total sales and prove that Toyota has enjoyed success by partnering with Maruti Suzuki for its highly competitive compact vehicles.

Divergent Paths For Rumion & Fortuner

The Rumion experienced an exceptional month with 3,075 units sold. This marks a 41.72% increase over the previous year and a staggering 270.92% rise compared to September 2025. This suggests that the Rumion has benefitted from its sibling Ertiga’s reputation of low maintenance and running cost.

On the other hand the Fortuner faced a decline in yearly numbers. The SUV sold 2,920 units which is a 20.74% drop from the 3,684 units sold in October 2024. Although the Fortuner did manage a slight monthly recovery of 4.93%, it remains the only model in Toyota’s lineup to register negative year-on-year growth for the month.

Niche Demand For Hilux & Camry

Toyota continued to see steady traction in its niche lifestyle and executive sedan offerings. The Hilux pickup truck recorded sales of 377 units in October 2025. This is a 10.23% increase over the 342 units sold a year ago and a significant 72.15% improvement from the 219 units sold in September.

Similarly, the Camry posted strong numbers with 276 units sold. This figure represents a healthy 56.82% year-on-year growth and a 101.46% increase over the previous month. These numbers indicate that despite being lower volume products, there is a growing audience for specialized vehicles like lifestyle pickups and premium hybrid sedans in India.

Vellfire & LC300 See Strong Gains

At the top end of the price spectrum, Toyota’s luxury imports delivered surprisingly strong results. The Vellfire sold 168 units which translates to a 46.09% increase compared to October 2024 and a 57.01% rise from September.

Even more remarkable is the performance of the Land Cruiser 300. The flagship SUV clocked 74 units in October 2025 compared to zero units in the same month last year and just 27 units in September. This jump in sales for the Land Cruiser 300 suggests better availability of stock for this high-demand import. The robust sales of these high-value models are significant to the company’s revenue even if their absolute volumes are lower than the mass-market offerings.
