Toyota has raised prices across the Glanza hatchback lineup. The S variant available in manual, AMT, and CNG formats has seen the steepest hike of ₹12,000. The G variant has been adjusted by ₹8,000, while the entry-level E variant now costs ₹9,000 more than before. These revisions are effective immediately.
Overview

Before the revision, the Glanza’s ex-showroom pricing began at approximately ₹6.99 Lakh and went up to ₹10.00 Lakh across its variants.
Powertrain

The Glanza continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 89 BHP and 113 NM, paired with either a 5-speed manual or an optional 5-speed AMT gearbox. The CNG iteration, available in select variants, delivers 76 BHP and 98.5 NM.

Features such as LED projector lamps, a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, and heads-up display remain unchanged.
Context

This hike mirrors similar adjustments in the segment, such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder hybrid indicating seasonal recalibration or cost-related pressures. However, Glanza’s sales performance appears mixed: it saw a 38 per cent month-on-month decline in June 2025 (2,938 units sold), after a 15 per cent gain in May (4,753 units).
Market Implications

While the higher costs are modest in absolute terms, they may influence purchase decisions, especially for budget-conscious buyers. Given that Glanza directly competes with strong rivals like the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, and the Maruti Baleno, pricing now becomes a more sensitive variable. Buyers evaluating the Glanza should weigh the unchanged specifications and value-added features against the higher price tags.
