Toyota has officially launched the top-spec E3 variant of the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella at Rs 23.60 lakh, ex-showroom. The Ebella marks Toyota’s first all-electric passenger vehicle for the Indian market and arrives as a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Bookings for the electric SUV have already been underway since January 2026.
The Ebella line-up includes three trims: E1, E2 and E3. However, Toyota has currently revealed pricing only for the flagship E3 variant. The SUV rivals models such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV and Tata Curvv EV.
Toyota Ebella Battery, Range & Performance
The Ebella gets two battery pack choices. The base E1 trim uses a 49kWh battery pack with a claimed driving range of 440 KM. Meanwhile, the E2 and E3 trims use a larger 61kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 543 KM.
The smaller battery version develops 144 HP, while the larger 61 kWh setup produces 174 HP. Torque output stands at 193 NM for both versions. Toyota has not yet revealed detailed charging specifications for the India-spec model.
Toyota is also expected to offer the Ebella with its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership plan, although detailed subscription pricing is still awaited.
Toyota Ebella Exterior Design

The Ebella gets a completely redesigned front fascia compared to the e Vitara. Toyota has equipped the SUV with triangular LED headlamps, segmented LED DRLs and a gloss-black closed grille that gives it a futuristic EV identity.
The bumper design looks sharper and includes functional air vents on either side. Toyota has also introduced a unique design for the 18-inch alloy wheels. Apart from these changes, the side profile and rear design remain largely identical to the Maruti counterpart.
Toyota offers the Ebella in five monotone shades and four dual-tone options with a contrasting black roof.
Toyota Ebella Interior & Features
Inside, the Ebella carries forward the same dashboard layout seen in the e Vitara. The cabin uses a dual-tone brown-and-black theme and features a layered dashboard design.
The SUV comes equipped with a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, reclining rear seats, a JBL sound system and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold.
Toyota also offers a Level 2 ADAS suite on the top-spec E3 trim. Safety features include 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist.
Toyota Ebella Price & Rivals

The top-spec E3 variant has been launched at Rs 23.60 lakh, ex-showroom. This makes it around Rs 3.60 lakh more expensive than the equivalent Maruti e-Vitara variant.
Toyota is also offering an 8-year battery warranty and a 60 percent buyback assurance scheme with the Ebella. Lower trim prices are expected to be announced soon.
