Tata Motors has revealed new details about the 2026 Tiago CNG facelift ahead of its May 28 launch. The biggest update is the addition of paddleshifters on AMT variants. This makes the Tiago CNG the first hatchback in its segment to offer this feature.
Rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios still do not offer paddleshifters with AMT gearboxes.
Same CNG Engine To Continue
The facelifted Tiago CNG will continue with the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. The petrol version produces 86 HP, while the CNG version develops 75.5 HP.
Buyers will continue to get a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT option. Tata Motors will also retain the dual-cylinder CNG setup and direct start-in-CNG feature.
Cabin Gets More Features & New Screens
The updated Tiago CNG gets a redesigned dashboard with a cleaner layered design. Tata Motors has added two free-standing screens, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster.
Other new features include a 360-degree camera, dual wireless charging pads, a rotary gear selector and push-button start/stop.
These updates make the cabin look more modern and premium than before.
Exterior Styling Looks Sharper
The facelifted Tiago gets redesigned front and rear bumpers along with updated LED headlamps and tail-lamps. Tata Motors has also added a connected-style trim element between the tail-lamps for a wider appearance.
The hatchback also receives newly designed alloy wheels, giving it a fresher look on the road.
Expected Price & Rivals

The current Tiago CNG manual range costs between Rs 5.54 lakh and Rs 7.4 lakh, ex-showroom. The AMT variants are priced from Rs 7.32 lakh to Rs 7.92 lakh.
The facelifted model is expected to cost around Rs 30,000 more, depending on the variant. Once launched, the updated Tiago CNG will continue to compete with models such as the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
