Tata Sierra EV Now Available In Five Variants
Tata Motors has announced the on-road prices of the recently launched Sierra EV across major Indian cities. The electric SUV is offered in five trims, Pure, Pure S, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered A, with ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs 18.79 lakh to Rs 25.99 lakh.
Built on Tata’s Acti.ev+ platform, the Sierra EV is available with 63kWh and 75kWh battery packs. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard across the range, while the larger battery is also available with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup.

Kolkata Offers The Lowest Ownership Cost
Among the cities listed, Kolkata offers the most affordable on-road pricing for the Tata Sierra EV. Chennai follows closely, while Mumbai records the highest prices due to higher registration and associated charges.
The price difference is especially noticeable on higher variants:
- The Empowered 63 (63kWh RWD) is around Rs 95,000 cheaper in Kolkata than in Mumbai.
- The Empowered A 75 (75kWh RWD) costs about Rs 96,000 less in Kolkata.
- The range-topping Empowered A 75 AWD is up to Rs 1.53 lakh cheaper in Kolkata than in Mumbai.
Battery Options, Performance & Range
The Sierra EV offers two battery pack choices:
- 63kWh battery (RWD): 238 HP, 315 NM and a claimed MIDC range of up to 535 KM.
- 75kWh battery (RWD): 209 HP, 315 NM and a claimed MIDC range of up to 665 KM.
- 75kWh battery (AWD): Dual-motor setup producing 504 NM of torque with a claimed 0-100 KPH time of 5.8 seconds and a MIDC range of 624 KM.
The AWD version also adds off-road-focused features such as multiple terrain modes, low-speed cruise control and a 540-degree camera.
Feature-Rich Electric SUV
Depending on the variant, the Tata Sierra EV offers a comprehensive equipment list that includes a triple-screen dashboard, panoramic sunroof, JBL Black audio system, powered and ventilated front seats, Level 2 ADAS, head-up display, digital key, connected car technology, vehicle-to-load (V2L), vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging and Tata’s DrivePay in-car payment system.
Rivals In India
The Tata Sierra EV competes with the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, MG ZS EV and VinFast VF6, strengthening Tata Motors’ position in India’s fast-growing midsize electric SUV segment.
