Tata Punch.EV Scores 5 Stars: Highest Rated Car In Bharat NCAP So Far!

The Tata Punch.EV earned a remarkable 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests for both adult and child occupant protection. For Adult Occupant Protection, it scored an impressive 31.46 out of 32 points, with 14.26 out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 15.6 out of 16 in the side movable deformable barrier test, ensuring excellent protection for adults.

In Child Occupant Protection, the Punch EV scored 45 out of 49 points, including 23.95 out of 24 in dynamic tests, a perfect 12 out of 12 in the child seat restraint (CRS) segment, and 9 out of 13 in vehicle assessment. Standard safety features across all variants include six airbags, three-point seat belts for all seats, ABS, ESC and ISOFIX mounts. The Tata Punch EV now holds the top spot as the highest-rated car in Bharat NCAP crash tests.

The EV is packed with premium features and offers a great driving experience. Its competitor, the Citroen e-C3, received a 0-star rating from GNCAP, whereas the Punch excels in aspects such as ASS, performance, features, and safety.

The Punch.EV is priced between Rs. 10.99 lakhs and Rs. 15.49 lakhs (ex-showroom). It offers two battery options: a 25KWH battery offering a claimed range of 315KM and a 35KWH battery offering a claimed range of 421KM. Long-range variants come with a 122 HP motor and 190 NM torque, while regular variants feature an 82 HP motor and 114 NM torque.
