The 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift has received a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP for both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP). The electric SUV scored 31.09 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 points for child occupant protection. Although the adult occupant score is slightly lower than the model tested in 2024, the Punch EV continues to achieve the highest safety rating under Bharat NCAP.
Adult Occupant Protection Score
The 2026 Tata Punch EV scored 31.09 out of 32 points in the Adult Occupant Protection test. Bharat NCAP reported good protection for the driver’s and front passenger’s head and neck. Meanwhile, the driver’s chest and knees, along with the front passenger’s knees, received an adequate protection rating.
The Punch EV scored 15.28 out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 15.80 out of 16 in the side movable deformable barrier test. Additionally, it received an “OK” rating in the side pole impact test and complied with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) test requirements.

Safety Features
The Bharat NCAP rating applies to the entire Punch EV lineup, although the Adventure 40 and Empowered+ 40 variants were tested. As standard, the Punch EV is equipped with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Isofix child seat mounts for the rear outboard seats, and three-point seatbelts with reminders for all occupants.
