Tata Motors has updated its best-selling compact SUV, the Nexon, with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It is available only with the top-spec Fearless +PS turbo-petrol DCT, priced at ₹13.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The ADAS suite includes features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision alert, high-beam assist, traffic sign recognition and lane-keep assist. These features are designed to improve driver awareness and safety. With this update, Tata Motors becomes one of the few Indian manufacturers to introduce Level 2 ADAS in a mainstream compact SUV. While most ADAS features remain assistive rather than autonomous, they mark an important step in Tata’s push toward intelligent mobility.
New Red Dark Edition Joins The Line-Up

Alongside the ADAS variant, Tata Motors has also launched the new Red Dark Edition of the Nexon. This version follows the design language first seen on Tata’s Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions and brings a more striking aesthetic to the compact SUV. It features Oberon Black exterior paint, subtle red accents, and Red Dark Edition badging. Inside, the cabin gets a similar treatment with an all-black interior theme, Carnelian Red seat stitching, and a leatherette dashboard. The Red Dark Edition will be offered petrol, diesel and CNG options. It is also offered with ADAS on the Fearless +PS Petrol DCA variant. By offering this variant across multiple trims, Tata aims to give customers more choice between style and functionality, while keeping the Nexon’s wide appeal intact.
The table below shows the prices of the Tata Nexon ADAS and Red Dark Edition variants:
| Variant | Ex-Showroom Price |
|---|---|
| Fearless +PS Petrol DCA ADAS | ₹13.53 Lakh |
| Fearless +PS Petrol MT Red Dark | ₹12.44 Lakh |
| Fearless +PS Petrol DCA ADAS Red Dark | ₹13.81 Lakh |
| Fearless +PS CNG MT Red Dark | ₹13.36 Lakh |
| Fearless +PS Diesel MT Red Dark | ₹13.52 Lakh |
| Fearless +PS Diesel AMT Red Dark | ₹14.15 Lakh |
Enhanced Safety & Market Position

The addition of ADAS strengthens the Nexon’s safety credentials further, complementing its 5-star Global NCAP safety rating. Features such as rear cross-traffic alert, door open warning, and auto high-beam assist add a layer of convenience and predictability to everyday driving. This move also comes as the Nexon continues its strong market performance. According to Tata Motors’ official report, the Nexon became India’s best-selling car in September 2025. The consistent demand has been driven by its balance of design, safety, and value, and the ADAS upgrade is expected to help sustain that momentum. As competition intensifies in India’s compact SUV market, the introduction of Level 2 ADAS and the Red Dark Edition makes the new Nexon one of the most feature-rich offerings in its class.
