Tata Motors has officially began the production of the all new Harrier.ev, its flagship electric SUV, at its Pune plant, with the first unit rolling off the line in early July. This marks a significant leap in Tata’s ambition to strengthen its position in the premium electric SUV segment. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin later this month, following overwhelming demand from over 10,000 bookings within the first 24 hours.

The Harrier.ev is available in two configurations:

  • Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) – dual-motor AWD
  • Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) – single motor

Its pricing ranges from ₹21.49 lakh to ₹30.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The base RWD starts at ₹21.49 lakh, while the flagship QWD variant begins at ₹28.99 lakh. With this pricing, Tata places the Harrier.ev directly against ICE competition while offering enhanced tech and safety features.

Performance:

  • QWD dual-motor delivers a combined 313 HP & 504 NM, sprinting from 0–100 KM/H in just 6.3 seconds—making it India’s fastest SUV in segment.
  • RWD variants generate around 235 HP & 315 NM.

Battery & Range:

  • Options include 65 kWh and 75 kWh LFP packs.
  • MIDC range estimates: 538 KM (65 kWh), 627 KM (75 kWh RWD), 622 KM (75 kWh QWD).
  • Real-world C75 test cycle yields 480–505 KM for 75 kWh variants.

Charging:

  • Supports 120 kW DC fast charging: up to 250 KM added in 15 minutes.
  • Home charging options: 7.2 kW AC (10.7 hrs) and 3.3 kW AC. Also offers Vehicle-to-Load (3.3 kW) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (5 kW) capability.

The Harrier.ev combines performance with a premium, tech-rich cabin. It features a 14.5-inch Harman touchscreen powered by Samsung Neo QLED, a first in cars globally, along with a 10-speaker JBL system with Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio experience. Safety is no compromise as it gets Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, and a 540° surround-view camera system offering underbody visibility. It also recently got a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, scoring perfectly in adult occupant safety.
