Tata Motors has expanded the Harrier lineup with the introduction of the Adventure X and Adventure X+ variants, positioned between Pure X and Fearless X. The new variants are priced at ₹18.99 lakh and ₹19.34 lakh, respectively (ex‑showroom, India), available in both 6‑speed manual and torque‑converter automatic versions. There are no mechanical changes here; this is another cosmetic upgrade with little to show under the hood. There are, however, some feature additions.

Here’s how the updated Harrier lineup looks like:

Feature Highlights

The Adventure X brings an upgraded interior and exterior persona with an Onyx Trail cabin theme in black and tan leatherette, and six exterior colours, including a new Seaweed Green finish. Features include a 10.25‑inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, 360° HD surround‑view camera, and a power-adjustable driver seat with memory and welcome function. It also gets headlamps and Trail Response modes (Normal, Rough, Wet). The Adventure X+ builds on these with Level 2 ADAS, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and rear disc brakes.

The mechanical setup remains the same, with the familiar 2.0‑litre Fiat MJD diesel engine producing around 170 BHP and 350 NM of torque, available in both manual and automatic gearbox options.

Conclusion

At ₹18.99 lakh for the base Adventure X, customers gain improved interiors and amenities without paying more than before. This is done without altering the Harrier’s mechanics, attempting to make the Harrier remain competitive against rivals like Jeep Compass and MG Hector. All three cars share the same engine under the hood.
