Tata Curvv Launch Date Revealed

The Tata Curvv has been in the works for quite some time. It is Tata’s attempt at a coupe SUV. The bookings will commence soon and here are some things you need to know about the Curvv.

Important Details

The powertrain options are expected to be similar to the Nexon, which includes an EV option. The Curvv EV will be equipped with a single motor, while the battery range will be reliant on the variant you opt for. Rumours suggest that a 1.2L petrol and a 1.5L diesel are the fuel-powered options to choose from.

It is expected to have all the bells and whistles that are expected in this price bracket like 360-degree parking, ADAS, etc. The most notable feature is the sloping roofline. Tata displayed the prototype to the public at the Auto Expo last year and it looked promising. Such a roofline suits larger cars like the BMW X6 or the Mercedes GLE coupe, but only time will tell how the Curvv looks on the road.

Launch Date And Pricing

The production units will be revealed on July 19th. Official bookings will begin on August 7. Further details regarding the pricing, feature list, engine options etc will be known on the same day.  Tata seems to prioritize EVs and the production of the Curvv EV would start before ICE models.

Tata intends to compete with the upcoming Citroen Basalt. Tata hopes it can also take on the likes of bigger SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara etc. The Curvv is set to slot between the Nexon and Harrier. The SUVs are going stronger than ever in today’s market and Tata wants to capitalise on this segment with the Curvv further.
