Tata Motors plans to introduce the Altroz hatchback with a makeover. This will basically be a mid-cycle makeover for the hatchback, which will be introduced in 2020. It is likely that the hatchback will continue to offer the same engine choices as the current model. It will get some design changes and new features in what would effectively be a mid-cycle facelift.

Design

Photos have shown slight design alterations for the vehicle on the few occasions it has been seen testing under camouflage. It’s probable that key style elements like the shape and headlight design will be kept. The modifications on the appearance of the car are likely to arrive in the shape of revamped front and back bumpers, new alloy wheels, updated colour choices and taillamps. Expect adjustments like a new two-spoke steering wheel, which was last seen in the 2025 Tiago and Tigor, new seat upholstery, and variations in finishing, but the Altroz’s core interior design may potentially stay the same.

Powertrain

It’s probable that the Altroz will continue to offer the same selection of engine options. These consist of a 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine (88 BHP, 200 Nm) and a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine (87 BHP, 115 Nm). These engines may be mated to a 5-speed manual or, for the petrol engine, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Additionally, the Altroz Racer hatchback is available with a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 118 BHP and 170 Nm (six-speed manual) and a 1.2-liter CNG variant that produces 76 BHP and 97 Nm of torque (five-speed manual).

When Is It Coming?

Tata will unveil the all-new Altroz on May 21, 2025. Bookings are expected to start shortly after, though there is no information currently about availability.
