Maruti Suzuki is expected to reveal the production version of their eVX electric crossover at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 which will take place from 17-22 January in New Delhi. The manufacturer’s first electric SUV has been in the pipeline for a long time and was expected to launch this year but multiple problems have delayed the automaker’s plans.

The eVX will be manufactured primarily in India and parent company Suzuki Global is aiming to cater to other critcal markets on a first priority basis; so it will initially go on sale in places like Europe and Japan, with the Indian market debut to follow a little later.

The production is expected to commence fully by early next year and most of the cars manufactured here will be mainly catered towards exports, with a planned annual output of 1.5 lakh units. Furthermore, the eVX is being developed in conjunction with Toyota, so they will also have their own iteration as well that will be introduced a few months after the eVX‘s launch.

The eVX has the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai’s upcoming Creta EV, the BYD Atto 3 and Mahindra’s forthcoming ‘born EV’ line up right in its sights as direct competitors and will go on to rival them when launched, with the anticipated pricing to be in the ₹15-20 lakh range.
