Skoda just teased their upcoming flagship. It’s based on the Vision 7S concept and incorporates many firsts for the brand.
Design

The teaser images reveal a muscular silhouette that mirrors Skoda’s largest SUV, the Kodiaq. The design language borrows heavily from the Vision 7S concept, showcasing sleek T-shaped LED headlamps and taillamps. A distinctive grille and redesigned bumper add personality to the front fascia, while new alloy wheels complete the look.
Interior

Skoda is introducing a dual interior configuration, with Driving and Relax modes. In Driving mode, the controls are positioned for easy access, with a vertically oriented 14.6-inch touchscreen dominating the dashboard. When parked or charging, Relax mode transforms the cabin—the seats recline and rotate inward, while the steering wheel and instrument cluster slide back to create a lounge-like experience.
The absence of a transmission tunnel liberates more room inside. If Skoda delivers on its promise of premium materials and cutting-edge infotainment systems, the interior could be one of its strongest selling points.
Platform & Powertrain

Built on Volkswagen’s MEB platform, this electric SUV is expected to offer single and dual-motor powertrain options. The Vision 7S concept boasted an 89 kWh battery pack with a range of up to 600 km on a single charge under standard testing conditions. The real-world range will most likely differ with daily driving conditions.
Launch & Competitors

Skoda’s new electric SUV will likely be its most expensive model yet—a bold move for a brand traditionally known for affordability. Positioned against rivals like the Kia EV9 and the Hyundai Ioniq 9, it enters a crowded space where innovation and value are key.
It will fill a significant gap in Skoda’s lineup, offering families an eco-friendly option without sacrificing space or comfort. Currently, Skoda doesn’t have any large EVs in their portfolio.
