The Skoda Slavia facelift will launch in India on October 6, 2026. Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has already started production at its Chakan facility in Pune, while pre-bookings are open for Rs 15,000. This marks the first comprehensive update for the midsize sedan since its introduction over four years ago. The facelift brings revised styling, more technology and a new automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre engine.
Revised Exterior Design

The Slavia facelift gets several styling updates over the outgoing model. At the front, Skoda has revised the headlamps and bumper, while the rear receives updated tail-lamps with sequential turn indicators. The sedan also gets sportier-looking 16-inch alloy wheels. In addition, Skoda has introduced two new paint options called Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige. As a result, the updated model has a sharper appearance without changing the overall design of the sedan.
Updated Cabin & Features

The cabin retains the existing layout, but Skoda has upgraded several key features. The facelift gets a new 10.1-inch infotainment screen with updated graphics, replacing the previous 10-inch unit. Meanwhile, the 8-inch digital driver’s display makes way for a larger 10.25-inch unit. Other features include a single-pane sunroof, 360-degree camera, powered and ventilated front seats, rear-seat massaging function and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Skoda has also upgraded the air-conditioning system with a variable-geometry compressor for improved cooling performance.
Same Turbo-Petrol Engines
Skoda continues with the existing 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engines. The three-cylinder 1.0-litre TSI produces 115 HP and 178 NM, while the four-cylinder 1.5-litre TSI develops 150 HP and 250 NM. The 1.0-litre engine comes with a 6-speed manual or a new 8-speed automatic gearbox. The new automatic replaces the outgoing 6-speed unit. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre engine continues with a 7-speed DCT as its sole transmission option.
Prices & Rivals
The facelift is expected to cost more than the outgoing Slavia, which currently ranges from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 18.29 lakh, ex-showroom. The updated sedan is expected to sit between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, although Skoda will announce the final prices at launch. The Slavia will continue to compete with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Virtus in India’s midsize sedan segment.
Verdict

The Slavia facelift brings a focused set of updates rather than a complete redesign. The new displays, additional comfort features and revised styling add to its equipment list. More importantly, the 8-speed automatic gives the 1.0-litre TSI a new transmission option. Skoda will reveal the final variant-wise prices and specifications when the facelift launches on October 6.
