Skoda Announces Price Reduction And Streamlined Variant Lineup For Slavia & Kushaq

Skoda India has implemented a significant price reduction strategy for its popular models, the Slavia and Kushaq. Additionally, the company has reorganized the variant nomenclature for both vehicles.

Price Cuts Across the Board:

The price reductions for both the Slavia and Kushaq range up to Rs. 2.19 lakh. This translates to a starting price of Rs. 10.69 lakh for the Slavia and Rs. 10.89 lakh for the Kushaq.

Revamped Variant Structure:

Skoda has introduced a new, simplified variant structure for both the Slavia and Kushaq. The new lineup consists of three core trims: Classic, Signature, and Prestige. Limited edition variants, such as Onyx and Monte Carlo, will also be available.

• Slavia:
  • The entry-level Slavia Classic (formerly Active) boasts a price reduction of Rs. 94,000, bringing the starting price down to Rs. 10.69 lakh.
  • The top-end Prestige 1.5 DCT variant experiences a lower price adjustment of Rs. 16,000.

• Kushaq:
  • The base Kushaq Classic (formerly Active) benefits from a price cut of Rs. 1.1 lakh.
  • The top-of-the-line Prestige 1.5 DCT variant sees a price reduction of Rs. 1 lakh.
  • The Kushaq Monte Carlo variants witness the most significant price drops, with the 1.5 TSI variant experiencing a Rs. 2.19 lakh reduction and the 1.0 TSI variant receiving a price cut of Rs. 1.89 lakh.

Features and Powertrain Remain Unchanged:

The price reduction and variant restructuring do not affect the feature set or powertrain options for either the Slavia or the Kushaq. Both models continue to offer a 10.1-inch infotainment system, automatic climate control, sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, and cruise control. The engine options remain the same, with a choice between a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine or a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The 1.0-liter TSI is paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.5 TSI comes with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
