Renault has launched the Triber Turbo in India with prices starting at Rs 7.84 lakh and going up to Rs 8.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The new turbo-petrol version uses Renault’s 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine and becomes the more powerful option in the seven-seat MPV’s range. The Triber Turbo is currently available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while a CVT automatic is planned for a later date.
Renault Triber Turbo Prices
The Triber Turbo is available in three trims: Evolution Turbo, Techno Turbo and Emotion Turbo. Compared with the naturally aspirated versions, the turbo variants command a premium of Rs 94,000 to Rs 1.11 lakh depending on the trim.
| Variant | Engine & Transmission | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Evolution Turbo | 1.0L Turbo Petrol, 5-speed MT | Rs 7.84 lakh |
| Techno Turbo | 1.0L Turbo Petrol, 5-speed MT | Rs 8.53 lakh |
| Emotion Turbo | 1.0L Turbo Petrol, 5-speed MT | Rs 8.99 lakh |
Dual-tone paint is available for an additional Rs 21,000. The turbo range currently does not offer an automatic gearbox, although Renault plans to introduce a CVT automatic later.
1.0-Litre Turbo Petrol Engine

The Triber Turbo uses the same HR10 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine found in the Kiger and Duster 1.0. However, Renault has introduced a new engine management system that increases torque output to 180 NM. Peak power remains at 100 HP. Renault claims a 0-100 KM/H time of 10.8 seconds, giving the compact MPV a quicker acceleration capability than its naturally aspirated counterpart.
Exterior Design
The Triber Turbo does not receive major exterior changes compared with the naturally aspirated version. It gets a gloss-black grille with Renault’s new logo, LED headlamps, LED DRLs and a large lower air dam with a silver surround. The MPV also features 15-inch wheels with dual-tone covers, functional roof rails and gloss-black door handles and ORVMs. At the rear, the clear-lens LED tail-lamps are connected by gloss-black trim, while a TURBO badge identifies the new version.
Interior & Features
The seven-seat layout remains unchanged, while the feature list continues to include an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other equipment includes a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control with separate rear blower control, a cooled centre storage box, automatic headlights and wipers, cruise control and push-button start/stop. With the third row folded, Renault claims 625 litres of boot space.
Safety & Technology
Safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, traction control, hill-start assist, TPMS and Isofix mounts. Renault has also retuned the ABS, ESC and traction control systems specifically for the Turbo version. The Triber previously received a four-star rating in Global NCAP crash testing.
Rivals In India
The Renault Triber occupies a relatively small compact MPV segment. The Nissan Gravite is another model in this space, although its powertrain options may evolve in the future. The Triber Turbo adds a more powerful petrol option while retaining the existing seven-seat layout and compact dimensions.
Verdict

The Triber Turbo brings Renault’s 100 HP turbo-petrol engine and 180 NM of torque to its seven-seat MPV. It also retains the existing cabin, equipment and practical layout, with only limited exterior changes. However, the turbo version currently comes only with a 5-speed manual, with the CVT automatic still to arrive. Its pricing places it above the naturally aspirated variants, while offering stronger performance as the key mechanical change.
