JLR India has announced major price reductions for the Range Rover SV and Range Rover Sport SV ahead of the expected rollout of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement. The revised pricing applies to fully imported SV variants sourced from the United Kingdom. The latest development comes even before the official implementation timeline of the India-UK trade agreement has been confirmed.
Revised Prices In India
The Range Rover SV now costs Rs. 3.5 crore, ex-showroom, following a price reduction of Rs. 75 lakh. Earlier, the flagship luxury SUV was priced at Rs. 4.25 crore.
Meanwhile, the Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two now carries a price tag of Rs. 2.35 crore, ex-showroom, after receiving a Rs. 40 lakh price cut from its previous Rs. 2.75 crore pricing.
Engine & Performance Details

Both SV models continue using a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. In the standard Range Rover SV, the engine produces 540 BHP.
The more performance-focused Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two develops 635 BHP. Both SUVs remain positioned among the highest-performance luxury offerings in JLR India’s portfolio.
Additional Updates For Range Rover SV

Alongside the price revision, JLR India has updated the Range Rover SV with Ultra Metallic paint finishes as standard equipment.
Customers can now choose between Gloss and Satin finish options without paying additional customization charges, further expanding personalization choices for flagship SUV buyers.
Second Major Price Revision
This marks the second major price adjustment for JLR India’s luxury SUV lineup within a year. In September 2025, the company had already reduced prices across the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport lineup following GST 2.0 reforms.
At that time, selected variants received price reductions of up to Rs. 30.4 lakh.
Locally Assembled Models Unaffected
JLR India has confirmed that prices of locally assembled models will remain unchanged. These include standard variants of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, which entered local assembly operations in India during May 2024.
Additionally, models such as the Range Rover Evoque, Velar, and Discovery Sport will continue with existing pricing structures.
Defender & Discovery Prices Remain Stable

The Defender and Discovery SUV range will not receive any price revisions under the India-UK trade agreement. Both models are manufactured in Slovakia rather than the United Kingdom.
As a result, these vehicles do not qualify for the tariff benefits expected under the India-UK Free Trade Agreement.
India-UK FTA Impact Explained
The India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement is expected to reduce import duties on large-engine luxury vehicles imported from the United Kingdom. Under the proposed structure, import duties could reduce from 110 percent to 30 percent during the first phase.
Over the next five years, duties may gradually decline further to 10 percent, depending on implementation schedules and annual import quotas.
Luxury Brands Expected To Benefit
Several British luxury manufacturers could benefit from the upcoming trade agreement. Apart from JLR, brands such as Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, and McLaren are expected to qualify for phased import duty reductions.
However, annual import allocations will remain limited under the agreement’s quota-based structure.
Conclusion

The latest price reduction significantly lowers entry costs for JLR India’s flagship SV models ahead of the India-UK FTA rollout. With reduced pricing, the Range Rover SV and Range Rover Sport SV could become more competitive in India’s ultra-luxury SUV segment. Additional developments regarding duty reductions and model allocations are expected once the agreement officially comes into effect.
