Porsche India has officially removed the Macan S and GTS petrol variants from its lineup. This narrows the combustion-powered Macan offerings in the country to a single variant, the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol, while shifting the spotlight toward the Macan’s electric models.

The discontinuation of the S and GTS trims marks a clear transition. Both variants were known for offering a performance bridge between the standard Macan and its all-electric successors. The Macan S was priced at Rs 1.45 crore, while the GTS was more expensive at Rs 1.53 crore (ex-showroom). A 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine powered both variants, producing 375 BHP and 520 Nm in the Macan S, while the GTS variant offered 434 BHP and 550 Nm of torque. The Macan is now only available in a single petrol variant priced at Rs 96.05 lakh.
Can I Get A Petrol Macan?

The sole remaining petrol variant, the Macan 2.0L, uses a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 261 BHP and 400 Nm mated to a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and Porsche’s Traction Management all-wheel drive system. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in around 6.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of approximately 232 km/h. While not a performance flagship, this version offers a practical blend of daily drivability and Porsche driving dynamics.
What Models Are Available?

In India, the Macan EV lineup now includes the Macan Electric, Macan 4S Electric, and Macan Turbo Electric. Power outputs range from 360 PS in the base electric Macan to a staggering 639 PS in the Turbo Electric with launch control. The 0–100 km/h times range from 5.7 seconds to just 3.3 seconds, and top speeds stretch to 260 km/h, offering better performance than their petrol counterparts. This is in addition to the 2.0L turbo-petrol variant.

The change reflects Porsche’s global electrification push. In India, the Macan EV lineup now includes the Macan Electric, Macan 4S Electric, and Macan Turbo Electric. These models showcase Porsche’s advanced electric vehicle technology, featuring sophisticated battery tech and rapid DC fast-charging support up to 270 kW.
