Porsche will officially debut the Cayenne Electric in India on September 30, 2026. The electric SUV was announced for the Indian market earlier, with prices starting at Rs 1.76 crore (ex-showroom). It will be available in Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric variants.

Battery & Range
The Cayenne Electric uses a 113kWh battery pack with two electric motors. The standard variant produces 408 HP and 835 NM, while the Turbo Electric develops up to 1,156 HP and 1,150 NM.
The standard Cayenne Electric can accelerate from 0-100 KM/H in 4.8 seconds. It has a top speed of 230 KM/H and a claimed range of 642km. Meanwhile, the Turbo Electric reaches 100 KM/H in just 2.5 seconds and offers a claimed range of 623km.
Charging Technology
The electric Cayenne supports advanced energy recovery through regenerative braking. Porsche claims a recuperation rate of up to 600kW, depending on factors such as speed, battery temperature and charge level.
The SUV can also recover a significant amount of energy through its electric motors during braking. In addition, Porsche will offer an optional 11kW wireless charging system, making the Cayenne Electric its first model to feature this technology.
Electric Exterior Design
The Cayenne Electric retains the familiar SUV silhouette of the combustion-engined Cayenne but receives several EV-specific design changes. The front gets a closed-off grille with air vents on either side to help cool the battery and electrical components.
It also gets active aerodynamic vents, gloss-black lower cladding and 20-inch to 22-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, a full-width LED light bar with illuminated Porsche lettering gives the SUV a distinctive appearance.
Dimensions & Boot Space
The Cayenne Electric measures 4,985mm in length, making it 55mm longer than the combustion-engined Cayenne. It has a 3,023mm wheelbase, while its width and height stand at 1,980mm and 1,674mm respectively.
The SUV offers a 90-litre front boot and a 781-litre rear boot. Folding the powered rear seats increases the rear luggage capacity to 1,588 litres.
Interior & Features
Inside, the Cayenne Electric gets a digital driver’s display and a 14.5-inch curved infotainment touchscreen. Porsche will also offer an optional 14.9-inch passenger display and an augmented-reality head-up display.
Other features include electrically adjustable front seats, four-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and wireless phone charging. An eight-way electric seat comes standard, while buyers can upgrade to up to 18-way adjustment.
Sound System & Comfort
The Cayenne Electric comes with a 14-speaker Bose sound system as standard. Buyers can also opt for a 20-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
Adaptive air suspension comes as standard across the range. Porsche will also offer rear-axle steering as an option, which can improve manoeuvrability at lower speeds and stability during high-speed driving.

The Porsche Cayenne Electric will enter India’s luxury electric SUV segment alongside established models such as the BMW iX, Audi Q8 e-tron and Lotus Eletre.
