Nissan has officially launched the all-new Tekton in India, marking the world premiere of its latest premium C-SUV. The new model forms a key part of Nissan’s India resurgence strategy and brings bold styling, premium features, advanced technology, and a fully turbocharged engine lineup to one of India’s most competitive SUV segments.
Manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai plant, the Tekton follows the brand’s “One Car, One World” philosophy. It will serve both Indian buyers and export markets, reinforcing India’s importance in Nissan’s global manufacturing plans.

Exterior Design & Styling

The Nissan Tekton draws heavy inspiration from the iconic Nissan Patrol. It features a bold front fascia with a full-width chrome grille, Signature C-Shaped 5-Chamber LED Connecting Headlamps, muscular wheel arches, flush roof rails, sculpted body lines, and aero-tuned spoilers.
At the rear, the SUV gets SynchroFlow C-Shaped Connected LED tail lamps, a piano black Himalayan Crest trim, and a rugged bumper design. Overall, the Tekton delivers a premium and commanding road presence.

Interior & Features

Inside, the Tekton offers a premium tri-tone cabin finished in beige, burgundy, and rose gold accents. Soft-touch materials, leatherette upholstery, bespoke stitching, and Japanese-inspired craftsmanship give the cabin an upmarket feel.
The SUV features Active Comfort Seats with ventilation, power adjustment, lumbar support, and adjustable headrests. Buyers also get a Double D-cut steering wheel, Fly-by-Wire E-Shifter, dual digital displays, and a wraparound driver-focused dashboard.

Technology & Connectivity

Technology is one of the biggest highlights of the Nissan Tekton. It comes equipped with a 10.1-inch Tek-Link HD infotainment system with Google Built-in and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play come integrated into the infotainment system. Drivers can also access more than 200 compatible apps without connecting a smartphone.
Other features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control with voice control, 48-colour ambient lighting, an Arkamys 3D surround sound system, a cooled wireless charger, and a smart air purifier with Plasmacluster ionizer.

Engine & Performance

Nissan offers the Tekton exclusively with turbocharged petrol engines. The lineup starts with the Turbo T160 engine, while higher variants receive the more powerful Turbo T280.
The Turbo T280 produces 163 PS and 280 NM. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed wet-clutch DCT with an electronic shifter. The Turbo T160 focuses on efficiency, delivering a claimed fuel economy of 19.4 KM/L, while the Turbo T280 returns up to 18.5 KM/L.
Both engines use GT-R-derived Mirror Bore Coating technology to reduce friction and improve performance. The SUV also gets Dual Drive Modes, adjustable steering effort, tuned suspension, and dual anti-roll bars for improved ride quality.

Safety & Driver Assistance

Safety remains a major focus for the Tekton. Nissan provides six airbags as standard across every variant, along with more than 40 standard safety features.
The SUV also comes with over 17 ADAS functions, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Driver Attention Alert, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Additional features include a 360-degree camera, 3D Around View Monitor, and a body structure made using 62% high-strength steel.

Practicality & Convenience

The Tekton combines SUV capability with everyday practicality. It offers 212 MM of ground clearance and best-in-segment approach and departure angles for tackling rough roads.
Nissan has also equipped the SUV with a class-leading 700-litre boot, making it one of the most practical options in its segment. Other convenience features include a powered tailgate, Approach Unlock, Walkaway Lock, connected car technology, and remote vehicle functions through the MyNISSAN app.
