Nissan is all set to launch the facelifted version of its compact SUV, the Magnite, in India on October 4, 2024. The updated model will feature refreshed design elements, enhanced interior features, and is expected to maintain the same engine options.
The facelift of the Magnite will include a refreshed front grille and new headlamps and taillights. Spy shots reveal that the bumpers have been tweaked. The alloy wheels will feature a new design, though the size is expected to remain the same at 16 inches. There may also be some new exterior color options introduced with this update.
Inside the cabin, the new Magnite is anticipated to provide a more premium feel. Sources suggest that the facelift could introduce ventilated front seats, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and a sunroof. The overall cabin design might remain similar to the existing model, but with updated detailing and materials, including the possibility of new seat upholstery options. Existing features like wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a rear AC vent will be retained.
The engine options in the facelifted Magnite are likely to remain unchanged. It will continue to be powered by the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 72 PS, and the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 100 PS. These engines will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
Given the enhancements in features and design, the price of the Magnite facelift could see a slight increase. The current Magnite is priced competitively, starting around ₹6 lakh (ex-showroom), and the facelift could push that figure upward, particularly for the higher-spec variants. The expected price range is likely to start from ₹6.5 lakh and go up to around ₹12 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top trims. The updated Magnite will be revealed on the 4th of October.
In the highly competitive sub-4-meter SUV segment, the Nissan Magnite facelift will continue to rival popular models such as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Mahindra XUV 3X0. It will also face competition from the Renault Kiger, which shares its platform and powertrains with the Magnite.
