Audi is preparing a major expansion of its SUV lineup in India. The company plans to introduce the Q6 e-tron, next-generation Q5 and new-generation Q7 by the end of 2027. Moreover, Audi plans to assemble all three models locally in India.

Audi Q6 E-Tron To Arrive In Mid-2027
The Audi Q6 e-tron is expected to arrive in India around the middle of 2027. It will become Audi’s first electric SUV to enter local assembly in the country. Furthermore, the model uses Volkswagen Group’s 800 V Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, which Audi developed with Porsche.
The Q6 e-tron could receive a 100 KWH battery pack for India. International versions use an 83 KWH battery in some variants. The single rear-mounted motor produces 306 HP, while the international model offers up to 641 KM of WLTP range.
Q6 E-Tron Interior Technology
Inside, the Q6 e-tron features Audi’s latest curved display setup. It combines an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster with a 14.5-inch central touchscreen. Additionally, buyers can opt for a 10.9-inch display for the front passenger.

The India-spec Q5 is expected to use a locally assembled 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. In this application, the engine could produce 265 HP and pair with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Furthermore, Audi is expected to offer Quattro all-wheel drive with the new Q5. The company has not confirmed plans for the Sportback or SQ5 versions in India. However, the India-EU Free Trade Agreement could influence future plans for these models.
New Audi Q7 To Arrive In December 2027
Audi is expected to launch the third-generation Q7 in India in December 2027. Although the new Q9 will become Audi’s flagship SUV, the Q7 will continue to target buyers seeking a premium three-row luxury SUV.
The new Q7 gets a more muscular exterior design inspired by the original model. Moreover, it will offer a standard seven-seat layout. Buyers could also choose a six-seat configuration with captain chairs in the second row.
Q7 Gets Larger Cabin & New Technology
The next-generation Q7 will feature an upgraded cabin with improved space and materials. In addition, Audi’s latest triple-screen dashboard layout will bring a more modern technology experience.
