Hyundai is gearing up to launch the new-generation Venue in India on November 4, 2025. This marks its most important update since its debut in 2019. The Venue has been one of Hyundai’s strongest performers in the sub-4-metre SUV segment, competing with models like the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Skoda Kylaq. The upcoming version is not just a facelift but a complete generational overhaul, featuring a new design language and updated interiors. Following the launch of the standard model, Hyundai will soon offer the sportier N Line trim. Hyundai aims to build upon the Venue’s reputation as an urban SUV while aligning it with the company’s best seller in India, the Creta.

Design & Exterior Changes

The 2025 Venue is expected to adopt Hyundai’s global design philosophy and draw inspiration from the Creta. Spy shots suggest sharper lines, larger parametric grille, sleeker quad LED headlamps with a connected light bar, and a reworked bumper that gives it a wider stance. The rear will likely feature connected LED tail lamps, similar to the new Creta, along with redesigned alloy wheels and updated cladding. The new generation model may grow slightly in length and height, improving interior space while maintaining its compact SUV proportions. Hyundai may also offer new dual-tone paint options and additional exterior packages to differentiate variants.

Interior Upgrades & New Features

Inside, the new Venue is likely to receive an all new dashboard design. Spy shots confirm that Hyundai will introduce a curved dual-display setup, one for the digital instrument cluster and another for infotainment. The infotainment system will support connected car features, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and integrated voice commands. Several components are likely to be shared with the Creta, contributing to a more upscale cabin feel. Feature offerings are likely to improve too, with additions such as ADAS, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, and an enhanced Hyundai Bluelink connected tech. Other features may include a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera system. Materials and finishes are expected to see a noticeable improvement, enhancing the overall premium feel of the cabin.

Powertrain Options & Performance

While the design and cabin will see major updates, the engine lineup will most likely be the same. Hyundai is likely to continue with the 1.2-litre NA petrol (82 HP, 114 NM), 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (118 HP, 172 NM), and 1.5-litre diesel (114 HP, 250 NM) engines. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual (1.2 NA), 6-speed MT (1.0 Turbo, 1.5 Diesel), and 7-speed DCT (1.0 Turbo). There are also speculations that Hyundai may introduce a mild-hybrid system with idle start-stop technology, aimed at improving fuel economy. Given the GST 2.0 reforms and increased competition in the segment, Hyundai might revise the Venue’s pricing to stay competitive. We expect the prices to start around ₹8 lakh (ex-showroom).

Expectations & Market Outlook

This update was long awaited for the Venue, which was last refreshed in 2022. With rivals like the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Maruti Brezza posting strong sales, Hyundai’s focus will be on reclaiming a leading position through improved design and advanced features. The outgoing Venue continues to perform well in sales charts, averaging about 7500 units per month. Hyundai had recently acquired General Motors’ Talegaon plant. The second generation Venue will be the first car to roll out of this facility. The new model’s success will depend on how effectively Hyundai balances features and pricing in this fast-evolving segment. The November 4 launch will reveal whether the new Venue can continue Hyundai’s legacy in India.
