Audi has started local assembly of the third-generation Q3 at its facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. Pre-bookings are now open for Rs 1 lakh, while the new SUV will launch in India on October 16, 2026. Audi is also expected to position the Q3 between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 60 lakh, ex-showroom.

Sportier Design With New Lighting

The new Q3 gets a more distinctive design than its predecessor. At the front, Audi has added split headlamps with configurable DRL signatures. The SUV also features a larger grille and vertically stacked headlamps lower down on the bumper. Meanwhile, the side profile gets body-coloured cladding, 18-inch alloy wheels and a chrome window line. Overall, the new design gives the Q3 a sharper appearance without changing its compact SUV proportions.

New Cabin With More Technology

Inside, the Q3 receives a completely redesigned dashboard with a dual-screen layout. It combines a 12.8-inch infotainment display with an 11.9-inch digital driver’s display. In addition, Audi has introduced a new steering wheel, two-tone leather upholstery and a high-set centre console. The console houses a wireless phone charger and cup holders. Other features include a Sonos sound system, panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, configurable ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera and a powered boot lid.

2.0-Litre Turbo-Petrol Engine

The new Q3 will use a 2.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine. Audi is expected to offer 204 HP and 320 NM, although the final India-spec output remains to be confirmed. A 7-speed DCT will handle transmission duties, while Quattro all-wheel drive will provide traction. Therefore, the new Q3 will continue to offer a performance-oriented powertrain alongside its technology-focused cabin.

Prices & Rivals

Audi is expected to price the new Q3 between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 60 lakh, ex-showroom. The final variant-wise pricing will be announced at launch on October 16. The SUV will continue to compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLA and BMW X1. It will also face the Mini Countryman in India’s entry-level luxury SUV segment.

The third-generation Audi Q3 brings a sharper exterior, a more technology-focused cabin and a familiar turbo-petrol powertrain. Local assembly should also help Audi position the new SUV competitively in India. However, the final price, variant structure and India-spec engine output will determine how the new Q3 compares with its rivals. Audi will reveal these details at the SUV’s launch on October 16.
