MG Motor India has announced the upcoming launch of the MG Windsor Pro on 6 May 2025. MG Motor named the upgraded variant the Windsor “Pro”, based on the previous MG Windsor, which was a great success for the brand and impacted the EV market in India. The MG Windsor Pro variant introduces some changes in range, safety, and interior features, making it better for the Indian automotive market.
What’s New?
The major highlight of Windsor Pro is the changes made to the battery system. Exact battery specifications are yet to be disclosed, but indications suggest it will house a 50.3 kWh battery pack, similar to what we have seen in another MG EV, the MG ZS EV. The changes in the battery figure are expected to deliver an impressive range of approximately 460 km on a single charge, a substantial increase from the previous Windsor’s 38 kWh battery pack, which offers about 332 km of range on a single charge.
As Windsor offers various safety features like six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and a 360-degree parking camera, there will be an addition to this list as MG is likely to offer ADAS with the Pro variant.
Interior Upgrades
As the MG Windsor Pro is just an upgraded variant of the previous MG Windsor, the core design remains consistent; just some refined aesthetics are expected like wooden inserts, with additional features aiming to enhance comfort and convenience for the customers.
Modern Designs
MG Windsor is a distinct-looking electric crossover on Indian roads and will continue to stay with design lines with the upcoming variant as well. It’s characterised by connected LED lighting on both ends, flush door handles, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Overall design features offer a modern, premium, and unique appearance.
