JSW MG Motor India has officially showcased the MG Majestor in Gurgaon, marking the arrival of what the brand claims as India’s first D+ segment SUV. Built on a massive 2,950 MM wheelbase, the Majestor positions itself as a larger, more off-road capable alternative to existing D segment SUVs, asserting dominance with dimensions that lead its class in length, width, and height.
Exterior: Presence & Height

The Majestor definitely has a commanding road presence, utilizing a ladder-frame-style silhouette with an upright and muscular profile.
- Length: 5,046 MM
- Width: 2,016 MM
- Height: 1,870 MM
The SUV features Tri beam projector headlamps and “Dragon Eyes” DRLs. The rear is characterized by connected LED tail lamps with sequential turn signals and 19-inch alloy wheels. It also gets 343 litres of boots space with the 3rd row up and 1,350 litres of boot space with the 3rd row down. The tailgate is powered and can also operate with a kick gesture.
The overall design and aesthetic go easy on the eyes, all the while looking dominating on the road.
Performance & Off-road Capability

There are no changes when it comes to the engine, which means, at the core of the Majestor, is the same engine that powered the Gloster.
- Powertrain: A 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine produces 215 HP of power and 478 NM of torque.
- Transmission: It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, available in both 2WD and 4WD with 2H, 4H & 4L available on hand.
- Triple Differential Locks: In a segment-first, the Majestor provides front, rear, and centre differential locks, allowing it to maintain traction in extreme off-road scenarios where wheels may lift off the ground.
- Capability: The SUV offers a 219 MM ground clearance (4×2), an 810 MM water wading capability, and a specialized Crawl Control Mode which automatically controls the throttle.
- Terrain Management: An advanced 4WD system includes off-road modes such as normal, sand, mud, rock & snow, featuring an intelligent “Auto Mode” that switches from 2WD to 4WD upon detecting traction loss.
Interior & Tech
Needless to say the Majestor is loaded with Tech, and uses good quality materials on the inside.
Displays: The dashboard features dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

It also gets 64 ambient light colour options and a 360 degree camera. Also, it features a quiet mode, which enables you to cut off selective features.
