Mercedes-Benz GLE and Mercedes-Benz GLS have received new Night Edition variants in India, bringing a darker design theme, added features and exclusive cosmetic upgrades. Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that both SUVs will be offered in limited numbers.
The GLE Night Edition starts at Rs 1.05 crore, while the GLS Night Edition is priced from Rs 1.41 crore, both ex-showroom India.
Mercedes GLE & GLS Night Edition Prices

Mercedes-Benz is offering both SUVs with petrol and diesel engine choices. The Night Edition models command a premium over the standard variants due to the added equipment and cosmetic enhancements.
The GLE 300d 4Matic Night Edition is priced at Rs 1.05 crore, while the more powerful GLE 450 4Matic Night Edition costs Rs 1.14 crore.
For buyers looking at the larger GLS, the GLS 450 4Matic Night Edition is priced at Rs 1.41 crore, while the GLS 450d 4Matic Night Edition costs Rs 1.43 crore.
Dark-Themed Exterior Gets Exclusive Paint Finishes
The Night Edition models receive a more aggressive and stealthy appearance compared to the standard SUVs. Mercedes-Benz has introduced two exclusive paint shades called Alpine Grey and Obsidian Black for these editions.
The dark styling package includes gloss-black bumper trims, black roof treatment and blacked-out outside rearview mirrors. These changes give both SUVs a sportier and more premium road presence.
The GLS and GLE Night Editions continue to retain their large proportions and signature Mercedes luxury SUV styling, but the darker finish helps them stand apart visually from the regular lineup.
Cabin Gets Premium Blacked-Out Treatment
Inside, both Night Edition SUVs feature an all-black luxury theme. Mercedes-Benz has equipped them with black Nappa leather upholstery and Anthracite open-pore oak wood trim for a more sophisticated appearance.
The door sills also receive black detailing, matching the overall dark interior treatment. Mercedes has additionally made the head-up display standard on both Night Edition models.
The larger GLS Night Edition further adds rear entertainment screens for second-row passengers, making it even more comfort-focused for chauffeur-driven buyers.
GLE Night Edition Adds Air Suspension
One of the biggest upgrades on the GLE Night Edition is the addition of Airmatic air suspension. This marks the first time Mercedes has offered air suspension on the 4-cylinder-powered GLE variant in India.
The addition of adaptive air suspension is expected to improve ride comfort significantly while also enhancing high-speed stability and driving dynamics.
Meanwhile, air suspension comes standard across all GLS Night Edition variants as well, maintaining the flagship SUV’s focus on luxury and comfort.
Petrol & Diesel Engines Continue Unchanged
Mechanically, both SUVs remain unchanged. The GLE Night Edition is available with either a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 270 HP and 550 NM or a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder petrol engine producing 380 HP and 500 NM.
The GLS Night Edition continues with its 3.0-litre inline-6 petrol and diesel engines. The petrol version produces 380 HP, while the diesel makes 367 HP.
All variants come paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel-drive system as standard.
Conclusion

The new Night Edition versions of the GLE and GLS add a more exclusive and sporty character to Mercedes-Benz’s luxury SUV lineup in India. With blacked-out styling, premium interior upgrades and additional features like air suspension and head-up display, these limited-run models offer more visual appeal and equipment for buyers looking for something more distinctive.
