Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG G 63 Offroad Pro in India at Rs 3.80 crore, ex-showroom. The limited-run variant adds AMG-specific off-road hardware to the performance SUV and carries a Rs 6 lakh premium over the standard G 63. It retains the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, while gaining additional suspension, traction and exterior equipment designed for off-road use.
Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro Off-Road Hardware

The G 63 Offroad Pro gets active ride control suspension with active roll stabilisation, along with Active Balance Control. The latter allows the roll stiffness to be adjusted across three stages for different off-road conditions. It also introduces Traction Pro mode, available within the Rock and Sand driving modes, which can individually control braking torque at each wheel and offers seven stages of locking.
Exterior Design & Equipment
The limited-run variant features a roof luggage rack with aluminium panels and a removable rear ladder. It rides on exclusive 20-inch AMG alloy wheels finished in matte black. These additions give the Offroad Pro a more off-road-focused equipment package while retaining the boxy design of the G-Class.
Interior & Technology

Inside, the AMG G 63 Offroad Pro gets a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen running Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX NTG7 multimedia system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB-C ports and augmented reality navigation are also available. Off-road displays can show vehicle position, compass direction, altitude, steering angle, tyre pressure and temperature, along with differential-lock status.
Off-Road Displays & Safety Features
A transparent bonnet function provides a camera feed showing the area underneath the SUV, helping the driver monitor the terrain ahead. Other equipment includes ambient lighting and an 18-speaker, 760 W Burmester 3D surround-sound system. Safety features include Active Brake Assist, lane-keeping assist and a 360-degree camera.
Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro Powertrain
The Offroad Pro retains the AMG G 63’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, producing 585 HP and 850 NM. A 22 HP 48V mild-hybrid system supplements the petrol engine. All-wheel drive is standard, while the SUV can accelerate from 0–100 KM/H in a claimed 4.4 seconds.
Prices In India
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad Pro is priced at Rs 3.80 crore, ex-showroom. This makes it Rs 6 lakh more expensive than the standard AMG G 63. Mercedes-Benz will offer the Offroad Pro in limited numbers in India.
Verdict

The AMG G 63 Offroad Pro builds on the standard G 63 with dedicated off-road equipment rather than additional engine performance. Its active suspension, adjustable roll stiffness, Traction Pro system, roof rack and rear ladder distinguish it from the regular variant. The 585 HP V8, 48V mild-hybrid system and 4.4-second 0–100 KM/H time remain unchanged.
