Mercedes-AMG G63 Collector’s Edition Launched In India

1 min read

Mercedes-Benz India has launched a very limited-run Collector’s Edition of the AMG G 63, built to celebrate Indian aesthetics. Just 30 units are available, exclusively for Mercedes’ existing closest customers. This exclusive SUV goes on sale at ₹4.30 crore (ex-showroom), about ₹66 lakh more than the standard G 63. Bookings have opened, and deliveries are expected from Q4 2025.

India-Inspired Styling

This edition is the first genuinely “India-configured” AMG by Mercedes-Benz India and its R&D centre. It features two MANUFAKTUR paint options: Mid Green Magno, capturing the monsoon greenery, and Red Magno, inspired by earthy landscapes. Exterior continues with gold-finished 22-inch alloy wheels. A “One of Thirty” plaque on the spare tyre, and a bespoke side strip.

Inside, the cabin is dressed in two-tone Catalana Beige and Black Nappa leather and open-pore walnut trim, with space for the owner’s name on the dashboard grab rail for that personal touch. All materials are of top-notch quality.

Power & Performance Unchanged

Under the hood, nothing has been altered. The Collector’s Edition keeps the same hand-assembled 4.0L twin-turbo V8, boosted by a 48V mild-hybrid system. Output stands at 585 BHP and 850 NM of torque, with an extra 22 BHP kick from the hybrid setup. All off-road hardware remains the same, locking diffs, low-range gearing and more.

The V8 powers all four wheels via Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system through a 9-speed AMG dual-clutch automatic transmission, and hits 0–100 KM/H in just 4.4 seconds.
The SUV gets launch control and adaptive dampers with AMG Active Ride Control for better dynamics.

Conclusion

“The AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition celebrates the power of local innovation and craftsmanship while honouring India’s deep connection with this iconic SUV” says Santosh Iyer, MD Mercedes-Benz India. “This launch is a true expression of co-creation with our customers,” he added.

Priced steeply yet offering nothing but some cosmetic interior and exterior updates, this G-Wagon is aimed at serious collectors and aficionados who want to have it all in their collection. It builds on the growing trend of India-only special editions, following launches done by Land Rover.
