Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Price Hiked

Car buyers eyeing Maruti Suzuki’s pocket-friendly S-Presso are in for a surprise this month. The automaker has bumped up the prices of the mini-SUV by ₹5000 for the VXI(O) AMT and VXI(O)+ variant. This price hike will spark frustration among first-time buyers or someone looking for a budget-friendly car, which will be very difficult to find in the future. Even a small-scale increase in the pricing is a huge increment in the budget-friendly car segment.

For now, the price will be from ₹4.26 lakhs to ₹6.11 lakhs. In the last few months, many other automobile brands have increased the pricing of their cars.

Major Reason Of Price Hike

Maruti Suzuki confirmed the revision, blaming “soaring raw material costs and supply chain pressures” for the adjustment. A company insider shared anonymously, “Steel and semiconductor shortages haven’t eased. We’re trying to absorb costs, but some hikes are unavoidable.”
