In February 2025, the Maruti Fronx became the best-selling vehicle, having risen from 10th place in January 2025.
The Hyundai Creta, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Wagon R have long controlled the market, but the Maruti Fronx has overtaken them as the best-selling vehicle of February 2025. Although Maruti’s products dominate the list, certain Hyundai, Tata, and Mahindra vehicles have also made it to the top 15. Let’s examine every vehicle that appeared on the February 2025 list of the best-selling vehicles.

Top Sellers

- With more than 20,000 units shipped and sold, the Maruti Fronx, which came in at number ten on the January 2025 automobile sales list, is now the best-selling vehicle in February 2025. With 6,000 more copies sold than the previous month, it has seen a staggering 41% month-over-month increase.

- With sales of more than 19,000 vehicles, the Maruti Wagon R took second place. Sales increased by 2% over February 2024, despite a more than 4,000 unit drop in month-over-month (MoM) growth.

- The introduction of its electric version helped the Hyundai Creta (ICE+EV) achieve its highest monthly sales in January 2025. But it only managed to sell 16,317 copies, more than 2,000 fewer than the previous month. Its year-over-year (YoY) sales, however, rise by 6%.

- In February 2025, Maruti shipped 16,269 Swifts, achieving a healthy YoY increase of an astounding 23%.

- The Maruti Baleno’s sales dropped by around 4,000 units, causing it to drop from second place in January 2025 to fifth place in February 2025.

- The Maruti Brezza sold 15,392 units making it the best-selling sub-4m SUV. The figures were up 645 units over the previous month.

- The Tata Nexon, which achieved a total of 15,349 unit sales and deliveries, finally put Tata’s name on the bestseller list. Monthly sales remained consistent with January 2025 at around 15,000 units.

- In February 2025, the Maruti Ertiga and Maruti Dzire secured the eighth and ninth spots on the list of the best-selling automobiles, respectively. The Dzire had a 4% decrease in MoM sales, whilst the Ertiga saw a 4% gain.

- With a total of 14,559 sales across its ICE and EV versions, the Tata Punch, the best-selling vehicle of 2024, finished in tenth place. Its revenues decreased by 10% month over month and by 21% year over year.

- The best-selling vehicle from Mahindra was the Scorpio, which consists of the Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic. The company’s second best-seller, the Mahindra Thar (Thar 3-door + Thar Roxx), came in at number 15 on the list mentioned above.

- The second best-selling vehicle was the Maruti Eeco, which had a 2% increase in MoM sales with 11,493 units. Its YoY sales, however, dropped by 5%.

- In January 2025, the Maruti Grand Vitara was the sixth best-selling vehicle. However, a drop in sales of almost 5,000 units has caused it to drop to 13th place on the February 2025 bestseller ranking.

- Similar to January 2025, the Hyundai Venue’s sales and dispatches surpassed 10,000 units; however, its MoM data showed an 8% dip.
