The XUV 7XO is expected to carry forward the underlying strengths of the XUV700 while adding contemporary styling cues and modern connected car technology. The launch builds on Mahindra’s strategy of evolving its SUV lineup under a renewed naming convention, following the recent rebranding of the XUV300 to the XUV 3XO.

The Mahindra XUV 7XO launched in India arrives with several distinct design enhancements over its predecessor:
- A revised front fascia with a broader black grille accented by vertical chrome elements.
- Updated C-shaped LED DRLs and LED projector headlamps positioned at the edges of the grille.
- 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
- A refreshed rear profile with connected tail lamps featuring a honeycomb-inspired motif.
These stylistic revisions give the XUV 7XO a sharper and more modern look, aligning with buyer expectations in the midsize SUV segment.

Inside, it brings a significant tech uplift compared with the outgoing model:

All-wheel-drive (AWD) options are available on select diesel variants, enhancing on-road confidence and traction capability.
Variants, Prices & Launch Details

The Mahindra XUV 7XO launched in India is offered in six variants namely AX, AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7T and AX7L. Introductory ex-showroom prices start at ₹13.66 lakh for the base petrol models and go up to about ₹24.92 lakh for the range-topping diesel variants.
Bookings have been open since mid-January with a token amount, and deliveries for priority variants are scheduled to begin from January 14, 2026, while deliveries for lower trims will follow in the coming months.
Segment Competition & Market Outlook
The launch comes as Mahindra seeks to refresh its SUV lineup and strengthen competitiveness against rivals such as the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar in the midsize SUV segment.
