Mahindra XUV 700 Facelift Spotted With Triple-Screen Setup

58 sec read

Mahindra’s flagship SUV, the XUV700, is up for its first major update since its 2021 debut. Fresh spy shots suggest car is in for facelift that goes beyond cosmetic tweaks. It gets a new triple-screen dashboard setup, much like the XEV 9e.

Interiors

The most attention-grabbing detail in the spy shot is the single housing that stretches across the dashboard, almost pillar to pillar, accommodating three screens: one for the instrument cluster, one for the infotainment system, and a new third display for the co-passenger.

Some may not like the tech-heavy feel of Mahindra’s newer vehicles, especially considering electronics aren’t the most reliable and tend to go haywire over the car’s lifespan. Too many screens and the lack of physical controls aren’t intuitive for the driver and can cause distractions.

Exterior Design

On the outside, the test mule retains the familiar XUV 700 silhouette but seems to carry reworked headlamp internals with what looks like updated LED DRLs. The grille will be tweaked with a sharper air dam. The rear bumper and tail lamp detailing are also going to be revised.

Powertrain

No mechanical changes are expected. The facelifted XUV 700 will likely continue with the existing 2.0L turbo-petrol and 2.2L diesel engines, both paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Both powertrains already offer solid performance for their segment.

Conclusion

Expect an official reveal later this year, possibly with pricing adjustments. As it stands, the facelift positions the XUV700 to better compete with newer arrivals like the Tata Harrier facelift and Hyundai Alcazar who offer tech-laden interiors, especially as the XUV 700 now completes five years in the market.
