Ahead of its expected launch next year, fresh new spy shots of the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV have surfaced online. The pictures reveal a few key details of the exterior design and interior along with some features.

Exterior

The test mule seen is partially camouflaged, concentrated mainly on the fascia, front fenders and rear bumper. Compared to the ICE version, it is likely to get new bumpers, tweaked fenders, reworked headlamps and a charging port on the right side front fender.

Interior

On the inside, based on these images, it will take much of the interior design and features set from the outgoing XUV400 that it will replace and might get an additional set of copper inserts; the inserts are also visible on the car’s roof. There may be a dual tone black and white interior upholstery theme along with a freestanding touchscreen unit, rotary dials for the AC controls, steering mounted controls and a wireless phone charger. Also by the looks of things, the gear selector lever from the XUV400 will be carried over as well.

Drivetrain

The current generation Mahindra XUV400 is offered with either a 34.5 kWh battery with a claimed range of 375 km or a 39.4 kWh pack with 456 km, both are paired to a single electric motor. These specification are expected to be carried over as is, unchanged.

Rivals

Upon launch it will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon EV, higher variants of the Tata Punch EV and lower versions of the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
