Mahindra has officially teased its upcoming flagship electric SUV, the XEV 9S, ahead of its global premiere on November 27, 2025. The new model will sit at the top of the company’s Born Electric (BE) range and be a large, three-row SUV based on the XEV 9e. The XEV 9S is likely to be based on the company’s new INGLO modular EV platform. The teaser shows a bold and upright design with signature LED light patterns similar to other BE models, but with a more imposing stance and a wider body that hints at its seven-seater layout. This model marks Mahindra’s first full-size electric SUV tailored for families, combining size, performance, and technology to rival future offerings from both Indian and global manufacturers.

Design Evolution & Platform Details

The Mahindra XEV 9S will be based on the brand’s INGLO EV platform, which also underpins the BE6 and the XEV 9e. The teaser gives a glimpse of the vehicle’s front profile featuring sleek LED strips, squared wheel arches, and a long, sculpted bonnet. Compared to the XEV 9e, the XEV 9S possibly offers more cabin space and enhanced ride comfort. The SUV is expected to measure around 4.8 to 5 metres in length, placing it as a large three-row electric SUV. With its aerodynamic roofline and smooth surface integration, Mahindra seems to be focusing on achieving both a bold road presence and energy efficiency. The overall design language continues Mahindra’s futuristic approach.
