Mahindra has launched the 6-seat version of the XEV 9S in India, with prices starting at Rs 25.25 lakh. The new configuration replaces the second-row bench with individual captain seats, giving passengers more space and easier access to the third row.
The 6-seat layout is available on selected variants of the electric SUV. It costs Rs 25,000 more than the equivalent 7-seat configuration. The Kia Carens Clavis EV is currently the other model in this segment to offer both 6-seat and 7-seat layouts.

The biggest change in the 6-seat XEV 9S is the second-row seating arrangement. It gets two individual captain seats with separate armrests instead of the standard bench seat.
