The automaker has finally revealed the prices of the 4×4 variants of the five door version of the SUV, and this configuration is only available with the 2.2-litre diesel engine that now puts out 175 HP and 370 N-m of torque in this guise, but it is offered with the choice of both; a six speed manual gearbox or a six speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Prices
The 4×4 versions are priced at about ₹1.8-2 lakh more than the equivalent 4×2 variants, but other than the new tech and additional off road specific kit, they share the same equipment and safety kit.

New Features
It gets the carmaker’s ‘4XPLOR’ hardware as previously seen in its stabelmate the Scorpio N, it includes an electronic locking differential and three terrain modes: Snow, Sand and Mud. But here, it now also gets ‘Smart Crawl’, which is like an off road cruise control system that can be activated between 2.5 km/h and 30 km/h; and the ‘Intelli-turn’ feature that allows for extremely tight turns by locking up the rear inner wheel based on the steering direction, it operates at speeds under 15 km/h and can be activated only for 15 seconds.
Rivals
It directly competes with the Force Gurkha five door, Maruti Suzuki Jimny and at the same time also rivals monocoque chassis crossovers like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun; mainly in terms of price, but also on the basis of length (~4.3 m) and with the two newly launched ‘coupe’ crossovers in this segment as well, the Tata Curvv and Citroen Basalt.
