Mahindra is developing specific variants of the BE 6 and XEV 9e for the UK and Europe. The company is working on export-focused versions based on the INGLO architecture, with project codes assigned. We don’t have any information on timelines, homologation milestones, or variant mixes yet.
Model Overview & Technicals

The BE 6 is a five-seater electric crossover available with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery options. Power output ranges from 228 BHP to 282 BHP, with claimed ranges between 557 KM and 683 KM. The XEV 9e is positioned above it, with multiple packs, including the 79 kWh offered in mid and higher variants. Mahindra has equipped it with CCS2 DC fast charging with a claimed 20 to 80% in about 20 minutes on a 140 kW charger.
Sales In India

Deliveries of the XEV 9e Pack Two began across India earlier this year, with reported waiting periods extending up to five months depending on configuration and location. The BE 6 line has also seen limited editions, including a Batman Edition priced at Rs 27.79 Lakh, which opened bookings on August 23, 2025. The limited edition sold out within minutes.
What Europe Will Require

Exports to the UK and Europe will require region-specific type approval, safety and software compliance, plus charging standards alignment and market-specific feature sets. Mahindra has only confirmed that dedicated variants are in development. Final specifications, WLTP ranges, charging curve disclosures and aftersales arrangements for those markets remain unannounced and might differ from the Indian specifications.
Conclusion
Mahindra’s export plans for the BE 6 and XEV 9e highlight its intent to position itself as a global player. The rollout will be closely watched to assess how Indian-built EVs perform in some of the world’s most competitive markets up against the world’s best, competing with Mercedes, Volkswagen, Renault, Vauxhall, BMW & other iconic brands.
