Mahindra has unveiled its new lifestyle pickup truck based on the 2023 Global Pik Up concept. Called the Scorpio Lifestyler, the new pickup uses the Scorpio N’s body-on-frame platform and will launch in India by April 2027. Mahindra has confirmed that prices will start below Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom), giving it a lower entry point than its main rivals.
Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Exterior Design
The Scorpio Lifestyler gets a tall and upright front design with LED headlamps and L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs). A wide honeycomb grille sits between the headlamps, while the bonnet carries a Scorpio wordmark. The front bumper also features a large skid plate, meshed air dam and vertically positioned LED fog lamps.
The pickup gets a double-cab body with dual-tone alloy wheels, chunky side cladding and functional roof rails. At the rear, vertically positioned LED tail-lamps feature C-shaped lighting elements. A large Mahindra wordmark sits across the tailgate, while the rear bumper continues the rugged design seen at the front.
Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Editions
Mahindra will offer the Scorpio Lifestyler in three environment-themed editions called Valley, Reef and Trail. Each version will feature a dedicated colour and specific decals or accessories.
The Valley edition gets Artemis Grey, while the Reef version uses Aquareef. The Trail edition comes in Sahara Beige. These editions will give buyers different exterior themes without changing the basic design of the pickup.
Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Interior & Features
The Scorpio Lifestyler gets a dashboard with a portrait-oriented touchscreen positioned between the air vents. Below it, the centre console houses the climate controls and several physical switches. The cabin also gets a three-spoke steering wheel and a digital driver’s display.
Expected features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control and connected car technology. The pickup will also offer terrain modes and multiple physical controls for driving-related functions.
Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Engine & Gearbox
Mahindra has not yet confirmed the final engine specifications for the India-spec pickup. However, the Scorpio Lifestyler could use the Scorpio N’s 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engines.
The diesel engine produces 175 HP, while the turbo-petrol engine develops 203 HP in the Scorpio N. Transmission options are also expected to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic. In addition, the Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to get a 4WD system.
Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Price In India
Mahindra has confirmed that the Scorpio Lifestyler will start at Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The company plans to launch the pickup in India by April 2027.
The final prices will depend on the engine, gearbox, 4WD system and variant structure. Mahindra is expected to announce the complete price list closer to the launch.
Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Rivals
The Scorpio Lifestyler will compete with the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross in India. Both rivals currently start above Rs 25 lakh, giving Mahindra scope to position the new pickup at a lower price point.
The Scorpio Lifestyler will also enter international markets, including Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and South Africa. In these markets, Mahindra will sell the pickup without the Scorpio name and call it the Lifestyler.
