Mahindra has officially teased the upcoming Scorpio N pickup ahead of its global debut on August 14. The new lifestyle pickup will become the production version of the Global Pik Up concept that Mahindra showcased in 2023.
The Scorpio N pickup will share its platform with the Scorpio N SUV. However, Mahindra will use a longer wheelbase to accommodate a larger rear load bed. The new model will target private buyers seeking an affordable lifestyle pickup with strong off-road capability.
Scorpio N Pickup Gets Distinctive Exterior
The teaser reveals several styling details of the upcoming pickup. At the front, L-shaped LED daytime running lamps surround slim LED headlamps. Moreover, vertically stacked LED fog lamps sit on both sides of the front bumper.
The grille gets a hexagonal design with Mahindra’s Twin Peaks logo. A front camera also sits below the logo. This setup could support a 360-degree camera, or even the 540-degree system available on the updated Scorpio N.
Double-Cab Layout & Long Load Bed
The teaser confirms a double-cab body style with a long rear load bed. This layout should give the Scorpio N pickup better practicality than a conventional SUV.
At the rear, the tailgate features large Mahindra lettering. Furthermore, C-shaped LED tail-lamps give the pickup a visual connection with the Scorpio N SUV while adding a distinct identity.
Cabin Gets Physical & Digital Controls
The Scorpio N pickup gets a portrait-style central touchscreen and a three-spoke steering wheel. A digital driver’s display also sits ahead of the driver.
The cabin uses a mix of physical controls and digital functions. Rotary knobs operate the dual-zone climate control, while a separate selector manages the drive modes. This approach should make important functions easier to operate while driving off-road.

Diesel Engine & 4WD Expected
Mahindra previously confirmed that the pickup would use a second-generation all-aluminium mHawk diesel engine. The powertrain will reportedly pair with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Four-wheel drive will also be available. In addition, the pickup is expected to offer Normal, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Rut and Sand drive modes for different terrain conditions.
The 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine could also power the pickup in selected international markets. However, Mahindra has not confirmed its availability for India.
Scorpio N Platform Gets Longer Wheelbase
The Scorpio N pickup will use the SUV’s platform with a longer wheelbase. The additional length will create more space for the rear load bed while retaining the ladder-frame construction.
Mahindra has also described the pickup’s structure as a next-generation ladder frame. The company previously stated that the platform would target strong performance in Global NCAP and Euro NCAP crash tests.
Prices In India
Mahindra has not announced the Scorpio N pickup’s India price yet. The pickup is expected to sit below the Toyota Hilux and target private buyers looking for a more affordable lifestyle truck.
