Mahindra announced yet another significant development for its electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, via social media. A total of 6,300 units of the two models have been delivered by the Indian auto giant. Since delivery started in March, this accomplishment has been made in just over a month.
According to Mahindra’s most recent release, the BE 6 accounts for 41% of demand, while the XEV 9e accounts for 59% of demand. Because of their popularity, both automobiles have a six-month waiting time. Here is a quick synopsis of the two EVs.
Mahindra XEV 9e Overview

One high-end electric SUV coupe is the Mahindra XEV 9e. Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three are its four available variations. Mahindra claims that the XEV 9e has become increasingly popular and has entered the garages of celebrities like Kubbra Sait, A.R. Rahman, and Anurag Kashyap.

It has three 12.3-inch screens for passenger enjoyment, instrument cluster, and infotainment. Additionally, it has twin wireless phone chargers, a panoramic glass roof with lighting, dual-zone temperature control, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a motorised driver’s seat with memory settings, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Seven airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic parking brake with auto hold, electronic stability control (ESC), and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features are all included for safety.
Mahindra BE 6 Overview

For an Indian SUV, the Mahindra BE 6 has a rather unique appearance. Pack One, Pack One Above, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three are the five variations available, each with a distinctive and eccentric design.

Dual 12.3-inch digital infotainment and instrumentation displays, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone auto-air conditioning, a panoramic sunroof with lighting, two wireless phone chargers, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, keyless entry, and an augmented reality heads-up display are all features found in its fighter jet-like cabin.
Seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system and a Level-2 advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) are among its safety features.

It competes with the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV and will also take on the upcoming Maruti e Vitara. The XEV 9e, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 21.90 Lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs. 30.50 Lakh (ex-showroom). It can be considered as an alternative to the BYD Atto 3 and the upcoming Tata Harrier EV.
