Mahindra BE Rall-E: Electric SUV With A Rugged Twist

1 min read

Mahindra’s upcoming electric SUV, the BE Rall-E, has been seen out testing on Indian roads, and it already looks like it means serious off-road business. Even though the test mule was camouflaged, some features are hard to miss. The SUV has a tall and tough stance, chunky cladding, and bold design elements like circular LED lights and thick wheel arches. It also seems to have steel wheels and proper off-road tyres, not to mention a roof rack and bash plate. All of this hints at a vehicle that’s not just meant for city roads, it’s ready to get dirty.

Rough And Ready Platform

The BE Rall-E will be based on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform, which is made for electric vehicles. This platform can support all-wheel-drive, and the Rall-E is expected to have two motors, one in the front and one at the back. There’s talk of it having multiple drive modes, hill descent control, and maybe even some proper off-road features. Inside, it’ll probably share the modern layout of the BE.05, but with more rugged touches to match its outdoor style.

Battery And Range

Underneath, the Rall-E is expected to pack the same battery options as the BE.05. That includes a 59 KWH battery offering around 230 horsepower and a bigger 79 KWH battery with roughly 286 horsepower. The range? Somewhere between 500 to 680 kilometers, depending on the version. Of course, the all-wheel-drive model might have slightly less range, but that’s the trade-off for better grip and more capability off the road.

Launch Timeline And Price Guess

Mahindra hasn’t officially confirmed when the Rall-E will launch, but with test sightings becoming more common, it looks like we might see it by late 2025. As for the price, it’ll probably sit just above the BE.05, especially since it comes with more rugged gear and possibly all-wheel drive. Expect it to start somewhere around ₹20 lakh or a bit more, depending on the variant.

The BE Rall-E isn’t just another electric SUV. It’s Mahindra’s way of saying EVs can be fun, tough, and ready for the outdoors. If Mahindra nails the performance and pricing, the Rall-E could end up being one of the more exciting electric SUVs to hit Indian roads soon.
