While the Indian-spec MG Astor hasn’t been crash-tested yet, the Thai-spec MG ZS Petrol received a 5-star rating from ASEAN NCAP. Given the similarities, a similar rating is expected for the Astor, making it a strong selling point compared to competitors such as the Hyundai Creta & Kia Seltos with lower safety ratings.
Our Verdict:
The MG Astor offers a compelling package with its striking design, well-appointed interiors, and a host of advanced features. Some surprising omissions and the lack of diesel/hybrid options could negatively affect sales.
